GM: COVID-19 not Slowing Electric Vehicle Plans

General Motors, the largest automobile manufacturer in America, has reassured reporters last week during its EV Day that their goals, announced in March, remain on-track to beat expectations, in spite of the pandemic slowdown and subsequent budget cuts previously announced by the company.

Insofar, they have reported 10 forthcoming electric models and plan to sell one million EVs globally by 2025. Very ambitious plans to rival those of other major players.

In addition to reassuring stakeholders of meeting set milestones, GM also hinted at a new offering during EV Day, revealing only a (familiar) silhouette (pictured above).

Enthusiasts have quickly begun spreading internet rumors that this will be Chevy’s bold response to the forthcoming electric Ford Mustang… the much awaited all-electric Camero! Looks like this might be the start of the new American muscle car battle… only now fully electric, quicker off the line, and with much more torque.
